Systemrequirements

Through the fact that JSWins uses the latest technologies from JavaScript, DOM, DHTML, CSS a few visitors cant use JSWins. As of my statistics-information should be at least 90% of all visitors in a position to use JSWins without restrictions (Cookies activated, JavaScript allowed). Approximately at 5% JSWins runs in limited mode (certain graphical Visualizations deactivated). On the remaining 5% JSWins runs not. Anyway these visitors can read the homepage but with the restriction, that view and above all the navigation is not satisfying.

PC (CPU, RAM, graphics-card)
The more windows are opened, the merrier slower JSWins and the merrier higher computerpower needs the system. Besides the performance depends also on the used browser. Some browser, are in respect to JSWins, very fast (like e.g. the older Opera 8.54) and other are rather slow (Opera 9.0). So it's not possible to give a value for the processorpower.
On my old Computer (AMD Athlon 1GHz) the window-management (move, change size) performs on IE already very sluggish, and that yet until the first window; changes however not much after 5 windows. Firefox 1.5 is that browser, on them the windowmovement performs fastest, but has short-time Visualizationerrors while dragging (no double-buffering?).
Fundamental is essential, ...
... that one on moving and resizing of windows press the mouse-button for approx. 1 second (or longer) and move than the mouse.
... if no window-changing, the requirements to the computer are very low.
On very slow computers one best sets the behaviour for clicking on links to "THIS". See for that purpose also the Manual.
Internet-Explorer 6.0, Firefox 1.5 & Netscape 8.0  On Internet-Explorer 6.0, Firefox 1.5 and Netscape 8.0 JSWins run to its full extent. All functionalities are available..
Opera 9.0 In this browser, unlike in all other browsers, the events "onload" and "onunload" not always fired. Mostly than, when one navigates forward or backward in browserhistory or page-refresh selected. Thus its not possible to monitor exiting of JSWins 100%-correctly. Because this event is used to save current state (windows, desktop) in a cookie, its not excluded, that the current configuration lost. Therefore at this browser bestly save the current state, before such actions, always manually (see startmenu-entry). Info: "Refresh" can also invoked via startmenu or by pressing the r-key.
Furthermore i have not found any possibility to suppress text-selection in this browser, e.g. when dragging windows.
Internet-Explorer older than 6.0 & Opera older than 9.0  Because in this browser-version no hierarchie of iframes possible, there can only displayed one window-content at the same time. The other contents must faded out (black surface).
