In front: It is advisable to use for printing another editor (as e.g. under Windows: Microsoft Word) and the internal print function of PIEdit only in emergency. Explanation for printing: If one selects "print", a printer-specific window appears , which must be always answered with ok. After that ok the printing will not yet started, but the different pages (if the text does not fit on a single page) are generated. Afterwards a window appears, in which one has above the options "exit", for leaving without printing, or "print", in order to start printing. The option "page dimension - > tooltips" causes tooltips, which indicate the sizes of the individual sides in pixels to the individual pages (thus e.g. when the mouse hovers "page 3", "595x832" appears "). The announcement "printer www x hhh" indicates those width and the height of the printable range of a printer page in pixels. Since however writing is sent as text to the printer, this is printed out nevertheless in full resolution. IMPORTANT: This window may be changed with the mouse not in the width!!! Change at best nothing at the window size. Remark on the printer-specific window: Nearly all settings which one make in this window have later no influence on printing. If one e.g. adjusts the printer to only print the pages 2 to 4, then nevertheless the entire document is printed . The only setting that a function has, is the paper format. Thus portrait format or landscape format.
